FOLDING AN
AMERICAN FLAG
- 1st fold: symbol of life
- 2nd fold: symbol of our belief in
eternal life
- 3rd fold: honor and remembrance of
veterans who gave their lives to
defend their country
- 4th fold: symbol of our trust in God
- 5th fold: a tribute to our country, right
or wrong
- 6th fold: for our pledge of allegiance to
the flag
- 7th fold: tribute to all our armed force
- 8th fold: tribute to the one who entered
into the valley of the shadow of
death
- 9th fold: tribute to womanhood
- 10th fold: tribute to fathers
- 11th fold: represents the lower portion
of the seal of King David and King
Solomon and glorifies in the Hebrews
eyes, the God of Abraham,
Isaac and Jacob.
- 12th fold: glorifies in the Christians
eyes God the Father, Son and Holy
Spirit
- 13th fold: the flag is completely folded,
the stars are uppermost reminding
us of our Nations Motto,
In God We Trust
When the flag is folded and tucked
in, it looks like the cocked hat of
the soldiers who served General
Washington and all the armed
forces today who fight to preserve
our rights, privileges and freedoms.
