The Westlake Village Republican Woman, Federated Salute to Joanie and Richard Young

On Saturday June 27 at 6:00 p.m. the Westlake Village Republican Women, Federated will recognize the accomplishments of club member Joanie Young and her husband Richard at their annual fundraising gala at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley. Each year the club recognizes an outstanding member who has represented the highest ideals ofAmericanism and leadership in our community.

As long-time residents of the Conejo Valley, Richard and Joanie Young have made significant business, philanthropic, and cultural contributions to the region. Joanie’s 45 year career in real estate has included serving as founder and president of Young Realtors, currently Sotheby’s International Realty, and earning the designation of Realtor Emeritus by the National Assoc. of Realtors. In 1988, she was named Woman of the Year by the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce and presently donates her time and talent to many non-profits including Cal Lutheran University, Senior Concerns, and Community Conscience. Richard Young has owned and operated a successful electrical and construction company, was a founding member of the Conejo Valley YMCA and Conejo Valley Masonic Lodge, was a recipient of the YMCA’s Man of the Year Award, and the Rotary Club’s  Paul Harris Fellow.   

The WVRWF is proud to include her in our membership and are honored to recognize Joanie and Richard Young as treasured Americans who represent the best our community and our country have to offer. The WVRWF is a dynamic organization which believes women are the most powerful force for positive political change in the 21st century.
